Marcia B. (Barden) Bradley



Marcia B. (Barden) Bradley, age 91, passed away on Oct. 20, 2007, in Lakeland, Fla. She was born on April 11, 1916, in Petoskey, the daughter of Frank and Mabel (Quigley) Barden. Marcia graduated from Boyne City High School in 1933 and married Emmett Bradley of Boyne City in 1939. When Emmett retired from the Michigan State Police in Traverse City in 1971, they relocated to Lakeland, Fla.

Marcia had been an executive secretary at Interlochen Arts Academy, Interlochen, Mich., and was a dedicated volunteer bookkeeper at the United Methodist Church in Lakeland, Fla. But most of all, she was a very loving and devoted wife and mother.

Marcia is survived by her son, Thomas Bradley of Walker, Mich,, her daughter, Trudy Bradley of Livonia, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, her brother, Aldwyn Barden of Petoskey, and her brothers- and sisters-in-law Harold and Lucille Price and Mike and Evelyn Bradley of Boyne City. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Marcia's cremains will be laid to rest at the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Boyne City, beside her beloved husband, Emmett.
