Marcelo Pastana scored the Red Devils' first goal of the night on an assist from Dustin Miller. Joshua Force found the back of the net for the second score after receiving a pass from Pastana. Andrew La Count eluded several defenders to record an unassisted goal and push the lead to three. For the final score, La Count drew in the defense before making a perfect pass to Miller, who sent the ball into the net.

"La Count, Miller and Force showed their years of experience tonight, leading the team in steals and intercepts and creating opportunities for their teammates,"head coach Peter Elliott said. "Northwestern played hard and kept their heads. Both teams had a lot of fun."The two teams will clash again at East Jordan on Oct. 8.

The Red Devils are in action tomorrow night at Elk Rapids before finishing the season with a three-game home stand. The season finale is Oct. 11 against Lake Michigan Conference rival Boyne City, who East Jordan played to a thrilling 0-1 loss earlier in the season.ΚΚ
