The concept of the Invitational was conceived by Russ and Sue Bolt and Howard Ellis has curated this exhibit for the past 16 years.

Guests and members not only enjoyed a great variety of works including paintings, drawings, prints, fiber, bead work. calligraphy, sculpture, pottery, and glass but also snacks from the JRAC cookbook, "Favors and Visions."

Of special interest is one of the place settings designed by Pat Poineau for the fundraiser in Charlevoix for the Woman's Resource Center. All the components were by JRAC member artists.

Nancy Carey designed the place mats and napkins, Laura Barber made the silver napkin rings, name card holders, and salt and pepper shakers, Harry Boyer made the goblets, David Otis made the dinner plates, Lynn Fisher, the salad plates, and Poineau made the chargers.

Many of the works are for sale or can be ordered. The exhibit can be viewed daily from 1 to 4 p.m. through July 20. Information and other viewing times can be arranged by calling Ellis, 231-536-2152.
