She was born October 15, 1909 in Robinson, Illinois, the second daughter of Verne and Maude Snider. Her sister Maude Gruber of Monroe is the remaining sibling of 9 children.

Rosalind was married to Harry M. Shenk for 50 years prior to his death in 1989. She is survived by sons, Mike (JoAnn) of Lexington, KY, and Geoff Suzanne) of Boyne City, MI;four grandchildren, Mike Jr., Brian, Julie Clarke, and Lisa Dewey;7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Rosalind worked as a bookkeeper in Monroe and Detroit, and in 1988 she and Harry relocated back to Monroe to be closer to their relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 16, at the Capaul Funeral Home in Ida, MI. The Reverand John Mehl of Petersburg United Methodist Church will officiate and the burial will be in Erie Union Cemetry in Erie, MI.
