Obituaries PUBLISHED: Randy was born at the Charlevoix Area Hospital Sept. 11, 1975. Randy graduated from Boyne City High School in 1994 and DeVry Institute in 1996. His love for computers and technology will be his legacy to remember him by. He was an unselfish caring man who willing helped others without expectation. Randy was currently employed by Vanco Solutions Network in Chicago as a computer software specialist. He worked several years for Quest in a similar position. Most local people remember his work in Boyne City at Radio Shack, and Computer Guys that he co-founded with his dad in 1998. His hobbies were computers, computers, computers, fishing, bowling, and SCA, in that order. Randy is survived by the love of his life, Stephanie Joplin of Chicago;his parents, Ron and Elaine Grunch;his sister, Debbie (Mark) Harris of Bellaire, and their three sons, Brendan, Christian, and Cameron;sister, Tammy Grunch and Shawn Beckman of Wichita, Kansas;his grandmother, Jane Like of Boise City, Oklahoma. He is survived by 22 aunts and uncles, 38 cousins, and many friends. Preceding Randy in death was his loving aunt, Roberta Wilson;his two grandfathers, Chester Like and Raymond Grunch;his two grandmothers, Helen Grunch and Beatrice Grunch;and his cousin, Kenneth Wayne Smith. Visitation was held Friday, June 8, at Stackus Funeral Home in Boyne Cityas well as a Vigil Service. A funeral Mass was held Saturday, June 9, at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Boyne City. Burial will take place at Maple Lawn Cemetery. Friends wishing to honor Randy's memory with a memorial contribution can send them to the Charlevoix Area Hospital Sleep Center, for sleep apnea. |
