Peters, and Kalkaska's Marissa Taylor, each struckout seven batters. But Andi Chew had a game-winning RBI single in the final inning, to give the Devils a 3-2 win in the first game.

"We had a 2-0 lead in the last inning, Kalkaska tied it, then we scored with two outs in the bottom of the sixth," East Jordan coach Meg Kitson said.

Peters had a hit and RBI to help her cause.

The Devils allowed 12 walks in the second game, dropping a 9-2 decision.

Cassy Crick had a pair of hits for the Devils, who allowed six runs in the third inning.

"This was a sloppy game," Kitson said. "Our pitchers struggled with their control."
