Ruth was born on April 17, 1912, in Elberta, Michigan, the daughter of Adam and Laura (DeNune) Raymond.

In 1932 she married Wybert Shaver who preceded her in death on October 18, 1967. Ruth enjoyed her garden and canning. She worked at the Wolverine Dilworth Inn and at Grandvue Medical Care Facility for ten years retiring in 1978.

She is survived by her daughter Rosemary Wangeman; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Ruth is preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, May 16, with visitation being held prior to the service at Stackus Funeral Home in Boyne City. Pastor Wayne McKenney officiated.

Burial will take place at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
