Boyne beats EJ soccer

EAST JORDAN - Zachera Wollenberg and Lindsay Baic scored goals for the Boyne City girls soccer team, in its 2-0 win over East Jordan Thursday.

Wollenberg scored off a Sam Dunwoody corner kick and an assist from Alex Welborn. She scored the goal with 23 minutes remaining in the first half and ended being the game-winner. The Ramblers led 1-0 at halftime, with Baic turning away both East Jordan shots.

Shannon Barsy took over goal in the second half for Boyne City, while Baic added an insurance goal, making the final score 2-0.

Boyne held East Jordan to eight shots on goal, evening its season record at 4-4-1.
