Obituaries PUBLISHED: Kay was born on Aug. 13, 1940, in Boyne City, the daughter of Ralph and Cora (Bradley) Hocquard. She grew up and graduated from Boyne City High School. Kay then went to Lansing Business University. On June 20, 1964, she married Rick Casper at the First Presbyterian Church in Boyne City. Kay worked for Klevorn & Klevorn for 43 years as a legal aide. One of Kay's greatest enjoyments was her three children and seven grandchildren. She was very close to her sisters and really enjoyed eating breakfast together with them and her sister-in-laws every Saturday. Kay had many friends and looked forward to the mini Class of 58 reunions every month - they were a close-knit group. Kay is survived by her husband, Rick Casper; children, Melissa Casper, William (Jennifer) Casper, Ricka (Marcus) Drennan; grandchildren, Jacob, Caleb, Abigail, Jordan, Benjamin, Maricka and Kaylin; sisters, Ruth Hausler, Maxine (Bud) Bates and Marjie Matelski; brother, Maurice "Butch" (Fran) Hocquard; sister-in-laws, Yvonne Hocquard and Doris Hocquard. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard and Donald Hocquard. A memorial service was held Saturday, May 3, with gathering of family and friends at the First Presbyterian Church in Boyne City.
