Obituaries PUBLISHED: Daniel was born on June 17, 1923, in Charlevoix, the son of Jerry and Hazel (Sheer) Haggerty. Daniel served in the United States Army during WWII. He owned and operated Shady Deal Poultry, which was the largest egg producer in Northern Michigan. Daniel collected books about WWII and recently donated over one thousand books on the subject to the Charlevoix High School Library and to the Charlevoix Public Library. Survived by his sister Margaret M Haggerty; and three nephews and one niece. A graveside service was held Tuesday, May 6, at Undine Cemetery in Hayes Township. Fr. Joe Muszkiewicz conducted the service. Stackus Funeral Home of Boyne City is serving the family. |
