Among the winners for the Red Devils was Ashley Skrocki in the 1oo-meter high hurdles with a time of 16.5 seconds, for a new meet record. Sarah Robinson finished second in 18.59 seconds. Skrocki picked up another first in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles with a time of 51.55 seconds, and she was third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.43 seconds. In the shot put, Shaina Peters took first place with a throw of 26 feet, 11 inches. Peters finished second in the long jump with a leap of 14 feet, 4 inches. The Red Devils returned to Harbor Springs on Friday, April 27, for the Ram Scram. Sault Ste. Marie captured first place with 149 points, while Harbor Springs finished second with 110, East Jordan third with 84, Indian Lakes 75 and Pellston had 50. Dominating the competition in the 100-meter hurdles for the Red Devils for the second time last week was Skrocki with a first place finish in a time of 16.92 seconds. Kristi Werner picked up a first place in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:44, and Meghan Thomas finished second with a time of 5:46. Skrocki also won the 300-meter intermediate hurdles in a time of 50.8 seconds, and she took second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.89 seconds. Werner placed second in the 3200-meter run with a time of 13:15. The Red Devils co-ed 800-meter relay team of Skrocki, Anthony Castle, Sarah Kupovits and Travis Nachazel finished second with a time of and the 400 relay team of Peters, Castle, Kupovits and Nachazel was third. ÒI think we had a week that was a very hard week,Ó coach Dennis Snarey said. ÒWith three meets, itÕs hard on the kids. (This week) we only have one meet (Monday).
