After taking a spill in her opening run for the Division 2 state finals at for the East Jordan/Charlevoix squad at Boyne Highlands February,

Rowley paced the field in the giant slalom competition, to win her third state ski title. She has won both a GS and slalom state title between her first two years of competition.

"That crash didnÕt affect her, it made her charge harder I think,Ó"coach Susan Miller said. "She was ready to let it all hang out for the win." Rowley finished her first run in 34.68, almost a half-second ahead of the second-place finisher from Harbor Springs.

Miller said RowleyÕs desire to compete outside of school, has made her run for three titles possible.

"She's always skiing if she has a chance," Miller said. "She puts a lot of time on her skis and gets a lot of experience in."

Rowley is currently competing in a ski competition in Oregon.
