ÒTheyÕve got to produce for us to be competitive.Ó Three Ramblers hit double-figures, using a balanced scoring attack to on their end of the court. Robby Jensen (16 points), Jeff Moore (10 points), Dan Remsberg (10 points) and Taylor Voice (eight points) paced the Boyne City scoring. Moore added seven rebounds and Voice also had five rebounds, three assists and three steals; while Jensen added three boards, three assists and three steals. Keyser paced East Jordan (4-9 LMC) with 16 points, while James Brown contributed 10points. Traverse City St. Francis 63 - Boyne City 59 Boyne City stood even at 52-52 with Traverse City St. Francis at the end of regulation time, but the Gladiators outscored the Ramblers 11-7 in overtime to capture a 63-59 Lake Michigan Conference win on Tuesday, Feb. 20. VoiceÊhadÊ25 points to lead all scorers in the game, while Moore hit for 16 points and Remsberg 11 to lead the Boyne City effort. Voice also grabbed five rebounds and added three assists and three steals. Moore also had four boards and four steals. ÒA big focus of ours was to slow down their guard Ben Wheelock and we were able to hold him to five, but you have to give them credit; they have a very balanced team,Ó Hertel said. Corey Williams led the Gladiators with 15 points, while Holden Greiner added 11 points and Dan Brick contributed with 10. ÒWe have had a very tough stretch of three games on our schedule going down to Gaylord, playing at Charlevoix and then having St. Francis,ÓÊHertel said. ÒThese are the kind of games that help us take steps forward as a basketball program.Ó Boyne City travels to Cheboygan to close the regular season on Friday.
